That's right, I'm not going to talk about that great movie made by the Coen Brothers ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/O_Brother,_Where_Art_Thou ) but rather the priceless multifunction network (and also USB) printer that we've bought to our office. Brother NFC 440CNN http://www.brother-usa.com/MFC/ModelDetail.aspx?ProductID=MFC440CN My review in three words: beau-ti-full! Everything works on Linux, as the Staples Brother saleslady told us when we bought it. We've had just a minor issue with the slowness printing using CUPS wrapper, but the LPR drivers did just fine. I've just only tested today the scanner function, with the auto paper feed using the multipage2pdf function and it worked without any problems, producing one PDF file with 3 pages in no time. The FAX interface on Linux is the only drawback, specially the part when we enter the number to send the fax. -- //VD _______________________________________________ tce mailing list [email protected] http://lists.paradigma.pt/mailman/listinfo/tce
