I'm tired of Evolution Mail, it's a memory hog and with my never-empty-or-deleted-email folders it's a pain in the ass to process, so much that I thought I heard my hard drive calling me names the other day... Actually, the only think that made me change from my long time pal, Seamonkey Mail, was the calendar integration. But even that isn't flawless and I don't quite use it. My phone calendar does the job nicely.
So I've changed, to my second pal :) Claws Mail [1], aka Sylpheed Claws [2]. What's the catch, you may ask... Case you never heard, Claws is a fork from Sylpheed [3], which is a lightweight and fast email client. Claws was the bleeding-edge version of Sylpheed with a couple hacks, plugins and features, but resync with the "mother ship". Now it lives on its own. The bottom line features here are: fast, fast and fast mail client, where mails are stored in the MH mailfile format. So, here it is, X-Mailer: Claws Mail 3.3.0 (GTK+ 2.12.0; i486-pc-linux-gnu) [1] - http://www.claws-mail.org/ [2] - http://listas.ansol.org/pipermail/ansol-geral/2002-February/000665.html [3] - http://sylpheed.sraoss.jp/en/ -- //VD _______________________________________________ tce mailing list [email protected] http://lists.paradigma.pt/mailman/listinfo/tce
