Two things - the server can multiplex itself using event-driven I/O.
Second, the thread extension is part of the "bundled distribution"

Third, I have a 3.0.1 that I put together over the weekend.
I want to squeeze in some tests before putting it up though.
I'll try to get to that today, because I'm about to decend into
hell and then take a week vacation...
