Hi all.

If you have been following the list you may know about the problems people
were having with modal dialogs in Jacl and Tcl Blend. I created a
workaround command called java_detachcall that fixed the problem but it
did so in a very ugly way. The problem is that there is no really clean
solution as the AWT was designed without much thought. I posted the
workaround to the list packaged as a TclJava extension but I think that
if people are going to use it it will need to be an "included" command
in the regular dist. The catch is I think it should be a "unsupported"
command meaning there will be no documentation and you will need to
"know that you need it" before you start looking for a fix. I was
thinking of calling it "unsupported::jdetachcall" and placing it into
the tcljava package so that the command is loaded when you type
"package require java". Does anyone have any reactions to that approach?
Do you love it or hate it?
