Mo,
Per your request, I've joined the tcljava mailing list and sent this to
the group.
I was trying to use the tclblend 1.1a1 release with tcl8.1a1 on windows
NT. I guess there really is a threading issue as noted in the
changes.txt file. I've finally decided that this must be the cause of
some crashing that is happening because there seems to be nothing wrong
in the java code being called and the same piece of code does not always
crash.
Anyway, I've gotten the 1.2.2 release. I know that it crashes
performing "package require java", but I can get around that for now
using "load tclblend.dll" and giving it the appropriate directory in
that command. My real question is, do we know that the thread issue is
gone? Also, do you know if there are any other issues beyond the
"package require" for tclblend? If this is all, I could provide some
help trying to fix that if you can tell me what you know about this
"package require" so far.
Thanks,
Michael Githens
