Yes, but you are using Mr. Wu's patches. I was saying that the
1.2.6 release and the 1.3 version in the CVS does not currently
work. One can "make it work" by adding the patches but I do not
think that was what the poster was asking. I think he actually
wanted to load Java code into a Tcl shell. The moral of this
story is that Mr. Wu's patches need to get added into the
CVS version. This is going to happen but I just have not had
the time to do it yet.
Current Tcl/Java Todo list.
1. Get the web pages at scriptics.com/java updated for the 1.2.6 release
2. Finish the new integrated build system. This will make it possible
to build Tcl Blend and Jacl with the same ./configure ; make scripts
under both windows and Unix. We can then remove unix/confgure.in
and the horrid beast knows as win/makefile.vc.
3. Finish overhaul of the pyramidpkg demo to make it thread safe.
4. Merge the rest of Mr. Wu's patches for Tcl Blend. The current
conclusion seems to be that we can also remove all uses of
JAVA_LOCK in the native JNI code.
If anyone would like to help with any of these items, it would
really speed things up.
