status of Perl/Tk compat with Tcl::Tk?

Hi all,

What is the status of the Perl/Tk compatibility with Tcl::Tk?  I ask 
because it would really help rejuvenate the Perl/Tk community that has a 
good doc base but an aging look and feel in the older Tk codebase.
