I think there’s a more inclusive discussion of the Governor’s budget on Minnesota Politics Discuss list (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mn-politics-discuss/messages/), but I thought we might have some opinions on this list too.
A summary of the budget plan is available (via PDF) on the Star Tribune web site (http://www.startribune.com/news/politics/budgsumm.pdf) – I’m sure it’s available other places as well. The Star Tribune Editorial goes on to claim that many will not be impacted by the cuts specifically “If you're a middle-or upper-income earner, living in a city that receives little state aid (that would be a suburb), not sending a child to a public college, not much of transit or state parks user -- then Pawlenty has a deal for you” (http://www.startribune.com/stories/561/3661272.html).
I certainly noticed a bit a truth to that myself. What do others think? Ann
