Remember a couple of months ago, when issues were raised regarding crime tied to transit use? There was a mention of a decrease in crime at the Mall of America during the bus strike. Well here is a crime at the Mall of America that can directly attributed to non-transit users.

The victim, age 26, was not named, nor were the alleged perpetrators, a 59-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman. A statement from the Bloomington Police Department said the victim was attacked at 6:45 p.m. in the south surface parking area of the mall. He is expected to survive, police said. The Bloomington Police Department and Hennepin County Crime Lab are investigating.
