A new study is needed on pollution, fuel use and greenhouse gas emissions. The statistics must not be manipulated to show something better than the reality. Much air transportation is unnecessary and very costly. The health costs now to people living near airports is especially high. Hidden, delayed and tickle down costs with aviation are large.
Aviation contributes heavily to world terrorism. There has been a goal to eliminate nuclear weapons. Aviation is expansion is out of control. Fuel will soon become more expensive as world supplies peak and fall. A goal is needed to eliminate aviation for all but the most critical elements of society. Are the hidden costs and terrorist threats being considered as politicians administrators of government agencies continue to encourage heavy federal subsidies for expansion in aviation?
