This is my first year participating in our
chapter's competition. Last year we had 13 entries; this year we received 47. As
one of the coordinators for the competition, I've actually seen every entry that
has come in. It's pretty cool to see the variety of help materials, from small
to large manuals, novice to professional. One thing I learned is the enormous
amount of work that goes into putting on a competition. We put more effort into
publicizing it this year -- creating postcards, email campaigns, podcasts,
newsletter articles, a website, etc.

Subject: [TCP] STC Competition
Just
wondering...
Anyone else out
there participating and/or judging in the STC competition? We've got
several entries this year, plus three of our team are also working as
judges.
This is my third
year judging, and second year participating. I've found it to be a
win-win situation -- I get to see other people's docs and maybe pick up some
good ideas from them (and sometimes learn what NOT to do) and we get feedback
on our entries.
