Is it possible to setup a session as a webinar, record it and allow
customers to view it later on? Not as effective as a live training class
environment but almost as good if your script is carefully worded and timed.

For details, and I've used Office Live Meeting successfully for this kind of
thing in the past (you may need something along the lines of Camtasia to
record the 'presentation').

Subject: [TCP] training from a distance

As the I3D (interactive 3D documentation) project continues to grow
and change, we've realized that our customers will need to have some
training in how to use it, so they can make the most of it. We have a
technical trainer, and once or twice a month, groups of customers come
in to learn how to use and maintain the machines we manufacture. I've
gone in a couple of times to demonstrate some I3D graphics to these
groups.

We figure either the trainer or I could give a session on I3D to these
groups, and will be a primary way to get the information to our
customers. But we're not sure how we'll get the information to
customers who have already been in for training and won't likely be
back.

What do others use for training from a distance?

Thanks,
Lsia B.
