Not sure what you mean. For example, history and rollback. These have been around a while in software, right? UNICODE support? Well, it's been around since, what, 1996? I thought only FrameMaker didn't offer this.
So, innovative, do you mean cool and froody, wow, what a great idea, I can't believe nobody thought of that, best thing to come along since sliced bread, the axle, the zipper ... or do you mean about bloody time you could do this in authoring content for help? Cheers, Sean -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Char James-Tanny Sent: Tuesday, February 06, 2007 10:18 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [TCP] Innovations in Help Authoring Tools...a survey As you may already know, I will be presenting "Innovations in Help Authoring Tools" at the WritersUA Conference in March. I have created a survey that asks if you think the 25 features that I have selected are innovative, and I want your opinion. The survey is available at http://hat-matrix.com/innovations.html and will be open until 15 February 2007. Do you agree with me? Are those features innovative? Do you think that other features should have been considered? (There are three spots for features that you think I should have included. If you have others that you want me to know about, leave a comment on the helpstuff blog (http://helpstuff.com/blog/index.php/2007/02/06/). The results will be announced first during my session at the WritersUA Conference. Sometime during the following month, the results will be posted on the HAT-Matrix blog.
