Hi all,

I'm leaving my current employer, IPC (www.ipc.com). They are located
conveniently off exit 24 of I-95 in the town of Fairfield, CT, a stone's
throw from Bridgeport. I am not authorized to post this job, etc., but I
expect they will post it next month as they do need to fill the
position.

They'll be needing a senior hardware technical writer with bonafide
unstructured FrameMaker experience and who can use Photoshop and
Illustrator. Knowledge of WebWorks, Frontpage, HTML, CSS, PHP, with some
knowledge of computer networks (incl. Cisco) and also telephony are all
plusses. This is an onsite job, no telecommuting, and it's content
writing, so no fussing with templates and such (use what they got). The
group is four plus a supervisor who also writes.

I recommend IPC. There's good folks there. Sure, IPC's projects could be
more organized (tech pubs is pretty well organized), but I've seen much
worse. The writing team is good, the team lead has a very strong
personality, mostly it worked for me. The company is privately held and
quite stable. I do recommend the job, the benes, and the environment.
I'm leaving for a job that's a little closer to home, amongst other
things.

Employees get recognized for recruiting new employees, so if you're
interested, please drop me a note offlist as I intend to put you in
touch with one of the group.

Cheers,

Sean
