We often have to make last-minute changes to PDF documents. Acrobat
Professional offers a variety of tools, most of which I've used at one time
or other. For example, the TouchUp Text tool is great for making minor
corrections, such as changing a few words on a line.

We are currently using Acrobat 8 Professional. The Help has a section called
Editing PDFs. There may be a similar section in Acrobat 7 Help.

There are occasional 'gotchas' when your changes affect multiple sequential
lines. Eventually I figured out how to make those changes, but I haven't
written down how I did it. Sorry :)

I guess the path your client takes depends on the type and extent of changes
he/she needs to make.
