Hi Ed, Did that. Also blew away Word's Normal.dot file. Neither change cured the problem. Also, used the same Word source file to create a PDF using PDFMaker on several other systems. One with Vista Home Premium, Word 2007 and Acrobat 8.0 Standard created the PDF with all the bookmarks working properly. The others (one with Vista Home Premium, Word 2007 and Acrobat 8.0 Professional, and another with XP Professional, Word 2003 and Acrobat 8.0 Standard) exhibited the bookmark problem. I'm completely baffled...
