So that sounds somewhat specialized to your software and hardware running that software.
I'd therefore be inclined to call it something that begins with DLT_GCOM_, followed by something that identifies it in more detail, unless you *never* expect to need another header format, in which case it could just be called DLT_GCOM.
While we would be happy to have specific DLT's to us, we designed the header format to be as generic as possible with well-defined meanings for the fields. The encapsulated protocol, for instance, is anything with a WTAP code in Ethereal. We welcome anyone else using these headers and DLT's.
Go ahead and give us two DLT's, DLT_GCOM_DS1 (or DLT_GCOM_T1E1 if you prefer), and DLT_GCOM_SERIAL.
