Hi,
I'm trying to figure out when the next release of libpcap is scheduled
for or if there is a tentative schedule. As I understand the next
release is 1.0, so is 0.9.9 not going to be released? The reason I am
trying to figure out these questions is because I'm working on
bundling libpcap with Solaris. I contributed changes to libpcap that
provides support for new Solaris features (1882884) and was integrated
into the main and 1.0 branch by Guy Harris (Thank you!) but without
the changes in latest release of libpcap, it would not make sense to
bundle libpcap into Solaris.
Thanks in advance for your help.
With the discussion so far I gather that the release date of libpcap1.0
is not determined and does not seem to be imminent. As I mentioned in
order to bundle libpcap into Solaris, a libpcap version that has libdlpi
is needed. So I'm trying to see how this can be done without having to
maintain a separate tree.
I have been trying to access the tcpdump.org site but it seems to be
down. So I'll ask my question here. Does the development gate (cvs
repository) correspond to the releases of the current version?
The source download version from sourceforge is 0.8.1 so I guess it
isn't possible to get the latest bits from the sourceforge.
Thanks,
Sagun
