If it's compiled on
1) a Linux distribution with the right headers to allow it to support
memory-mapped capture
or
2) a FreeBSD release with memory-mapped capture support
and it's running on
1) a Linux distribution whose kernel supports memory-mapped capture
or
2) a FreeBSD release that supports memory-mapped capture
then, unless some part of setting up memory-mapped capture fails, it will use
it.-
