On which different architectures and compilers have you tried this, to
see that it happens with different inputs on those
architectures/compilers?
There was a bug that caused crashes with very large filter expressions;
the bug existed in 0.5[.x], but is fixed in 0.6[.x]. itojun is trying
these with the current CVS code, which also lacks the bug; that may
explain why he's not seeing the problem (i.e., the problem may not exist
in the current version, or in 0.6.2; it may only exist in 0.5, which,
unfortunately, is what the current version of WinPcap is based on).
