[tcpdump-workers] to get IP address on UNIX??

Hi,

What is the function/API on UNIX, I need to use to get the IP address ??

On Windows i.,e in WinPCap, I know it is "PacketgetNetInfo" API, 
but what about UNIX/Linux?
