I also require roughly the same functionality
thats is different threads taking data for the interfaces
Though i have not tested the two interface thing
since i  have only one interface on my machine
i have a single thread interacting with pcap(for the single interface).
yours query is of value to me too
so please keep me updated

The man page for pcap does not say anything about the MT status !!!
