hi, I am running OpenBSD. I have two i/f fxp0 and fxp1.
I want to listen promiscously on fxp1 (without any IP address cinfigured) So i create a file /etc/hostname.fxp1 and write this line: fxp1 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 NONE Now if i run a tcpdump on fxp1, will it work ? I am not seeing the packets on the wire... ( i can see from another m/c which is listening with an ip-address) -thanks a lot ashley - This is the TCPDUMP workers list.
