Yeah, they probably should.
I have a un-checked-in change for that; I couldn't remember which
compiler bitched, but I now remember it was probably some version of the
Sun compiler.
I'll check in my change when I can (I'm not set up to check in from
work, and I'm going to be here a while this evening...).
