3.4a6 and 0.4a6 aren't even the most recent version that the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratories people released, much less the most reecent version at all. Try the 0.7.1 version of libpcap and the 3.7.1 version of tcpdump, instead. - This is the TCPDUMP workers list.
