Hi,

I have the problem that tcpdump can capture ONLY the OUT-going packets
on an interface
where bridging mode is enabled. The bridging function is provided by a
bandwidth
management software ( ET/BWMGR, www.etinc.com ).
It seems that incoming packets are filtered out by the BWMGR software
before
they reach the libpcap 'filter'.
Unfortunatly there is no chance to modify the bridging software.
To run the BWMGR software it is required to use a modified dev.c which I
could provide.

Does anybody see a possibility how I can capture also the IN-coming
packets with
tcpdump before they are moved over to the BWMGR bridge, or has any
experience
with such a problem?

linux kernel 2.4.17, tcpdump version 3.7.1, libpcap version 0.7

thanks & regards

matthias
