Hello all, I compiled and installed tcpdump-3.7.1 after libpcap-0.7.1 on a RedHat Linux 7.2 box. I made sure to disable firewalling. I then used the RedHat ntsysv command to verify ipchains and iptables do not startup on boot.
I bring up the interface in promisc mode and run: ./tcpdump -i eth0 -n and I can only capture outbound packets. I never see anything coming inbound. Any ideas?
