Good Morning all! I tried some rules and now I have an output that I don't understand.
If I use thats rule : tcpdump -i eth1 -S -vvv, I know that the output is: any packets that travel on eth1 with the absolute seq numb and maximum verbosity. So i receive these lines: my.host.domain.42516 > 128.9.0.107.domain: > 20932[|domain] (DF) (ttl 64, id 48672, len 70) 128.9.0.107.domain > my.host.domain.42516: 20932- q:[|domain] (DF) (ttl 38, id 0, len 286) ok? I would want to know why the domain is truncated???? and if possible which port is 42516??? And last if exist some script tool or other excluding /etc/services that show the port called in cause during a connection! avery Help is welcome.
