Well, I can't see that, either, as I don't have the code to your
program.  Try making the program that doesn't work do what the programs
that do work are doing, or what tcpdump is doing.

(Note that I will be out of town for a couple of weeks, so I probably
won't be able to answer questions about the code during that period of
time.)
