Hi, I have a sparc-solaris 2.6 machine with a ethernet card and an FDDI card. I want to modify tcpdump so that two threads open the two cards and sniff the corresponding networks. Each card will have its own bpf filter. Has this been already attempted? Are there any known issues related to making libpcap, tcpdump multithreaded? I need the "pcap_read" and "bpf filter" portions of the code multi thread capable.. I can live with serialised execution of rest of the code (pcap_open, ip_print etc.).
