Hi everybody,

first of all, a big "thank you" to you for maintaining this immensely
useful package, I truly appreciate your work.

Of course I wouldn't write if I hadn't a problem. :-) I am using Linux
2.2.16 with isdn4linux to connect to the Internet. The dial-up line
uses SyncPPP as low-level protocol and it appears that either tcpdump
or libpcap cannot handle this correctly. I extracted the latest
version from the CVS repository, but when I use it to monitor the
'ippp0' interface, I get bogus packets, messed up IP addresses, etc.

Thus I downloaded the tcpdump sources included in the SuSE 7.0
distribution and tried this version. Alas, it works just fine.

So I wonder whether anybody is working on including their patches into
the main distribution? Otherwise I would be willing to do it myself,
but before I start to do so, I wanted to make sure that these diffs
are welcome at all.
