Done.
I'd like to check to make sure it builds on my Linux partition (Debian
2.2, with the standard 2.2[.x] kernel and whatever flavor of glibc2 it
has) and on a couple of machines at work (RH 5.x, to make sure it works
on at least one 2.0[.x]/libc5 system, and RH 6.x); we might also want to
let the folks with 2.2[.x]/libc5 systems try it first, to make sure that
it works with no changes on those systems.
