Hi, Guys I am a newbie in using libpcap. I want to establish a simulation environment for wireless computing. My idea is to intercept all IP (or TCP) packets and record the time stamps of sending and receiving the sequence packet as well as packet loss. Then this trace is replayed so as to simulate packet delay and loss, as if there was a virtual Wireless NIC there. This should provide a repeatable test environment for wireless programming. I read the sample codes packaged with WinPcap. I do not know how the filter programs are defined. So I cannot run pcap_filter. Neither am I sure if the filter programs can achieve the functionality mentioned above. Does anybody have any related info? Your advice upon my idea is also very welcome. Thank you in advance.
