Are there any known extensions to tcpdump to parse and display SIP (udp/tcp)
packets?

I've looked around the archives and elsewhere and wasn't able to find the
answer to this. (Surprising, since I was certain this topic was brought up
before.) Please let me know and I'll summarize for the list.

If there are unofficial patches somewhere, I'd like to try them out.

If there are none, would the maintainers of tcpdump be willing to review and
potentially accept patches for SIP support?

For those who have actually hacked on tcpdump, do you have any tips or
suggestions as to how to go about adding SIP support to tcpdump? While I've
not hacked on tcpdump myself, I've got plenty of experience writing and
maintaing large packages. If I do this work, I'd like to do it in a way
that would integrate best with existing code, so as to minimize the hassles
to the maintainers who might integrate my patches.

Thanks,
Erez.
