There's a precedent; "-t" means no timestamp, "-tt" means "alternate
timestamp format #1".

I'm more conservative than you are; I find the "break stuff at will,
as long as you bury a description of the breakage somewhere in the
changelog" attitude of most open source stuff counterproductive.
Maybe I'm a luddite.
