I suppose it could perhaps be modified so that sub-dissectors, such as
the IP and IPv6 dissector (and the part of the Ethernet dissector that
handles 802.3, rather than Digital/Intel/Xerox Ethernet), that dissect
protocols with length fields to specify that the data past the end of
their payload should be discarded as padding.
