Aaron,

I would suggest creating a separate mailing list for the 4.0 effort,
call it tcreplay-developers or something along those lines. That way, it
will keep the regular users list clean, and anyone that wishes to see the
development emails, can subscribe to it.

Regards,

Subject: [Tcpreplay-users] Tcpreplay Quick Poll: should there be a
dedicateddeveloper list?

Abdel and I have started working on Tcpreplay 4.0 and as can be expected
there's a fair bit of email going back and forth on plans, API's, porting
and various code changes, etc.

Abdel has recommended we make our conversations public, which I fully
support, but I also don't want to drive people off the list with
conversation that they don't care about. It's a few emails a day,
which considering the low volume on the tcpreplay-users list would be
considered a significant increase in mail traffic.

Hence, here's your chance to speak up and say one way or another how you
feel. If I don't get any strong feedback to the contrary, we'll stay with a
single list.
