That would make this a big problem then.  Right now I'm concentrating
on work related to the GUI and then I'll be looking at a native
Windows port.  Both of those to me seem more important then this bug
(a lot more people would find those features useful).  That and of
course since I don't have access to an 8 byte strictly aligned system
makes tracking down all these errors pretty painful on my end.

Basically what I'm saying is it will be at least 6+ months before I
even start looking at this.  Your best bet is to either find a Linux,
*BSD or 32bit Solaris box or find someone else to fix this bug.
Obviously, I'll be more then happy to accept any patches so that
future versions will be 8 byte aligned compatible.
