If you're not interested in a Network Tools/OSS Developer position in
San Jose, Ca then you can just delete this email now. Sorry for the
spam.

******************************

Ok, if you've gotten this far, here's the deal: We (as in the Network
Tools team here at Equinix) are looking for someone to come in and
join our team. It's a small team (our manager, me and one other guy)
that manages all the network monitoring, automation and provisioning
tools here at Equinix for both the corporate LAN/WAN and production
data centers. If you're not familiar with Equinix, we're the #1
carrier neutral data center company in the world, with about 100 data
centers world wide and growing.

We're looking for someone to primarily take over the Equinix Carrier
Ethernet Exchange (ECEE) portal development and basically help out
with other projects as appropriate. Most of the code today is written
in Perl, although we're beginning to write more and more applications
in Ruby/Rails. Ideally, you'd be able to code in both languages, but
mostly we're looking for someone who will fit in with the team, is
smart, has enough coding experience/skill that they can build
extensible tools and libraries and understands networking so concepts
like QoS profiles and LACP aren't completely foreign. If you're and
expert in carrier ethernet and the Alcatel-Lucent 5620 platform,
that's awesome, but we figure anyone who has good networking &
development background will be able to pick up whatever they don't
already know.

Anyways, here's the official job description:
http://equinix.hodesiq.com/job_detail.asp?JobID=2613337&user_id=

But if you're unsure if this is a fit for you, or if you have
questions please feel free to email me at: aaron.tur...@equinix.com

Thanks!
