In the past, my students have enjoyed Black Picket Fences  and No Shame in My Game. This semester, I'll be using, and for the first time, "Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria?"  If any of you have used Cafeteria, any tips?

Subject: TEACHSOC: Monographs for Sociology of Race/Ethnicity

Hello All,
I am searching for a new book to add to my Sociology of Race/Ethnicity (dealing
with race relations and race/ethnic experiences within the United States).

I have Ethnic Options, Honky, Code of the Streets, Black Identities, Gendered
Transitions and Growing Up American.

If you have a favorite you'd like to recommend, I would be very appreciative!

Thanks Much, Elizabeth
