Teresa and Others: I would recommend Mark Rank's essay, "The Blending of Qualitative and Quantitative Methods in Understanding Childbearing among Welfare Recipients," published in "Approaches to Qualitative Research" by Sharlene Nage Hess-Bieber and Patricia Leavy (Oxford Press, 2004). This article does a good job of describing the value of multiple data collection methods, and how information collected from one method can inform the researcher's understanding of data collected from the others.

I'd appreciate any suggestions.
