Thanks for the nicely worded statements on opinions. I spend a lot of time discussing the difference between anecdotal and scientific evidence. I have even developed an "anecdotal evidence" game to atempt to help students understand that while their experiences are relevant, they must be put in perspective and understood within their respective contexts. I have had mixed results with the game since it makes some students clam up completely for fear of saying something "wrong." As always, I am in trial and error mode!
