The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Colgate University
invites applications for a tenure-stream position in Sociology. This
search is for an Assistant or Associate Professor.  The beginning date
for this position is July 1, 2006.  The successful candidate should be
prepared to teach courses in one or more of the following areas:
deviance, criminology, mass media, popular culture, sociology of sport.
Teaching duties will include sections of Introduction to Sociology and
senior research seminars.  Ability to teach Sociological Methods
(Qualitative and Quantitative) and Social Theory is expected.  Colgate
is a highly-selective liberal arts college located in central New York.
