Sadly, this won't work anymore. The instructions Andi appended below refer to
the invitation that was sent you you back in July. They have all expired now,
meaning if you click on them, it won't work.

Googlegroups does remember the invitation was issued, however, and won't let me
extend another to you. (I tried that over the long weekend.) So you have two
choices now:

(1) go through the process of getting a google groups id, then join the group or
(2) send me a note asking to be put on the list.

Most of you will find option (2) easier, and it really doesn't take all that
much work on my end.

Cheers,
James

What You Folks Need to Do Now

Unfortunately, this note is confusing to those not familiar with
googlegoups or newsgroups (which is why I wanted to add you folks myself
in the first place, damnit!). So here's my attempt to state in a more
clear fashion what you need to do to join the new list.

After the text " ---------------------- Google Groups Information
----------------------" there are three embedded links.

Click the first one. This action adds you to the group. You will be able
to post to the list by sending email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] You
will receive, via email, a copy of each post sent to the list. Unless
you want to get teachsoc as a digest, you're done. Rejoice!

If you want to get an email digest rather than individual posts, you'll
need to do one of two things AFTER you have clicked on the first link:

Thing #1: create a Google Account by clicking on the SECOND link and
filling out the short form, then login to your groups page and set up
the digest option,

OR

Thing #2 send a note to [EMAIL PROTECTED] asking me to set you up
with the digest.

GoogleGroup's Web Interface

If you don't like getting email, you can use Google Group's web
interface to read [email protected] and post to it. That's what
the text before the second link is about. Please note that you do not
have to read the group this way. It's an option you can use if you wish
to do so.

That's probably enough for now. If you have future questions, send me
email at [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Best,
James
