~ Lisa The Justice Studies Department at Montclair State University seeks a specialist in Justice Theory to address historical and contemporary approaches to theories of crime and justice. Possible areas for future development include: Migration/Transnational Studies, Law and Society, and Comparative Justice Systems. Teaching will be at the undergraduate level, pending the development of graduate curriculum. The main goal is to provide students interested in issues of justice and justice-related careers with theoretical as well as applied approaches to the field. Applicants are expected to possess excellent teaching skills, a willingness to seek external funding, and an active research agenda. A Ph.D. is required at the time of appointment. Applicants are expected to provide evidence of their teaching excellence and an active scholarship agenda. Salary is dependent upon qualifications. Starting date is September 1, 2006.
