SOCIOLOGY/ANTHROPOLOGY

Department seeks candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning August 2006.  Responsibilities:  Teaching Introduction to Sociology and Social Theory.  Various combinations of secondary specializations may include sociology of work and organizations, and leadership studies.  Qualifications and requirements: 1) Ph.D. in Sociology (ABD at time of hire may be considered), 2) Demonstrated commitment to teaching effectiveness, 3) Evidence of on-going scholarly or creative activity. College level teaching experience is preferred and a demonstration of teaching effectiveness will be required as part of the interview.  Will have the opportunity to teach in the department’s Master of Science program in Organizational Development and Leadership. A terminal degree from an accredited institution is required for tenure.
