ASA Teaching Enhancement Fund

ASA Small Grants Program. These grants, given to an individual, a department, a program, or a committee of a state/regional association support projects to enhance the teaching of sociology that will have systemic and enduring impact on the teaching and learning of sociology. Community Action Research Initiative
Application Deadline: February 1, 2006
Sponsored by the ASA Sydney S. Spivack Program in Applied Social Research and Social Policy, these small grants encourage sociologists to undertake community action projects that bring social science knowledge, methods, and expertise to bear in addressing community-identified issues and concerns. ASA Congressional Fellowship
Application Deadline: February 1, 2006
Sponsored by the ASA Sydney S. Spivack Program in Applied Social Research and Social Policy, the Congressional Fellow serves for six months as a member of a staff office in the U.S. House or Senate. The Fellow will learn the workings of Congress and will share the uses and contributions of sociology with the placement site. Minority Fellowship Program
