The majority of intro texts in one way or another start with
all sociology id divided into three parts. Isn't that a bit old? What about a new division, Theoretical and applied? Given that some faculty claim that teaching the way they do it is a practice, the applied theoretical distinction may send and promote the message that sociology does something. What do you think?
