Hi Folks   I cannot cite original works, but a couple colleagues of mine at a previous university were publishing studies on ideal body images among college students a couple years ago. While their sampling frames were not fully representative (e.g., only students taking intro. courses at two Midwestern universities were used), I believe they did get several peer-reviewed publications out of their work, including one in the journal Sex Roles. If interested in this sort of replication studies, Dr. Gordon Forbes and Dr. Leah Adams-Curtis were the principle authors of most of the studies (both psychologists).   Robert J.
