On the discussion of attending class, I thought some people might be interested in today's news from Oxford University. Although their system is radically different than 99% of American education, this story is still interesting. - from today's Chronicle of Higher Education.
"Students enrolling at the University of Oxford this fall may be required to sign a contract pledging to attend lectures and classes or run the risk of expulsion. The new document, which is under consideration by Oxford's 39 self-governing colleges, would be sent to students beginning their studies as new tuition rates come into effect for institutions in England and Wales."
